It is no news that tech companies have long used hackathons as a fast gauge of developers’ true talent and creativity.

In the past two months, OneLedger has been searching for the best emerging developer talents, and one such effort led us to support and sponsor two Hackathons.

The first Hackathon, blockHACK, organized jointly by the City of Barrie’s Invest Barrie and the Georgian College’s Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre took place between March 23rd and March 24th, 2018.

At blockHACK close to a dozen teams worked together to help solve technological challenges using Blockchain Technology.

David Cao, Founder of OneLedger, served as one of the judges and facilitated the selection of the best ideas and performing teams.

The second Hackathon organized by the Ladies of Cryptochicks a non-profit organization will be taking place this weekend from Friday, April 6th to Sunday, April 8th 2018 at the Mars Discovery District.

Reaffirming its interest in supporting and promoting the inclusion of all diversity, and especially of women in the Technology industry, OneLedger Technology Inc. will be sponsoring the winning hackers’ prizes.

The team of OneLedger will be in attendance, with Founder, David Cao serving as one of the judges. David will also be starring in one of the panel discussions addressing the impact of Laws & Regulations on Blockchain businesses. The panel will include high profile co-panelists such as Alan Wunsche, CEO & Founder of TokenFunder, a tokenized digital finance platform. Also in attendance from the team of OneLedger will be, PRO Othalia Doe-Bruce delivering a speech on the inclusion of blockchain technology into businesses.

There are more than 350 national and international guests, and 100+ hackers expected.
